Remember when they told you asking questions was “dangerous?”
Now headlines about Hantavirus are starting to pop up.
Here are the facts:
• Hantavirus is real
• It’s been around for decades
• It spreads mainly through contact with infected rodents and droppings
• Human-to-human spread is extremely rare in North America
• Cases are uncommon, but serious when they happen
So no… this isn’t “the next COVID” right now.
But people have every right to be skeptical when the same media machine that got so much wrong last time suddenly starts pushing fear again.
Stay informed.
Don’t panic.
Don’t blindly trust headlines either.
Question everything. Especially the people demanding you stop asking questions.
