Michigan synagogue attacker's brother was Hezbollah commander, IDF says (SECRET SHOW PREP 3-16-26)

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated on March 15, 2026, that the brother of Ayman Mohamad Ghazali—the 41-year-old naturalized U.S. citizen born in Lebanon who carried out an attack on Temple Israel synagogue in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, on March 12 (or 13)—was Ibrahim Muhammad Ghazali, a Hezbollah commander responsible for managing weapons operations in a special branch of the group's Badr Unit. Ibrahim was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon on March 5, along with three other relatives of the attacker (including another brother, a niece, and a nephew), just a week before the Michigan incident, which involved Ghazali ramming a vehicle loaded with fireworks, gasoline, and possibly other explosives into the synagogue building before firing shots and then killing himself after being engaged by security; the FBI is investigating it as a targeted act of violence against the Jewish community, though no direct Hezbollah operational link to the attacker has been confirmed by U.S. authorities beyond familial ties and prior intelligence flagging. This revelation has been widely reported across major outlets amid heightened U.S.-Israel tensions in the broader Middle East conflict.
