Friend,

Happy New Year. Before you sprint into 2026, stop for a second and breathe. Not because 2025 was easy…but because you made it through. You kept showing up. You kept loving your people. You kept going.

Now, look at what’s in front of us.

2026 isn’t just “next year.” It’s the year America turns 250. Two hundred and fifty years since a group of imperfect, stubborn, brave people put their names on a piece of paper and said: our rights don’t come from government… they come from God.

That trith built everything we’ve ever loved about this country.

And yes, we’ve taken our hits. We’ve fought. We’ve failed. We’ve stumbled into division and madness…and then, somehow, we’ve found our footing again. Over and over.

So here’s what I’m asking you to do as the calendar flips.

Don’t carry the bitterness from last year into this one.
Don’t let exhaustion make your decisions for you.
Don’t outsource your hope to politicians, headlines, or algorithms.

Start small…and start where you are.

Love your family well. Be the steady one at work. Help a neighbor. Tell the truth. Pray. Laugh more. Serve quietly. And if you’ve got a goal you’ve been putting off… take the first step in January, not “someday.”

Because when July 4, 2026 gets here, we shouldn’t only celebrate fireworks and history.

We should be able to say: I did my part. I got better. I got closer to the people that matter. I lived like freedom is worth something.

That’s how you honor 250 years of independence… and that’s how you build the next 250.
