County clerks across Michigan are uniting against the push for ranked-choice voting. In a rare bipartisan move, the Michigan Association of County Clerks voted unanimously to oppose the proposal, citing concerns over āvoter confusion,ā āfatigue,ā and increased inconsistency in ballot results. They say ranked-choice would make elections more complex, not more fair ā and could undermine confidence in the voting process.
