Why I’m praying for Biden..

Hey Freedom Fam,

You know I don’t shy away from tough political fights, but this note isn’t about politics. It’s about compassion.

Over the weekend former President Joe Biden was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that’s already spread to his bones. 

Whatever boxes you checked at the ballot booth, Biden is first and foremost a fellow human created in the image of God.

Scripture is crystal‑clear: “I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people — for kings and all who are in authority…” (1 Tim. 2:1‑2).

Jesus Himself doubled‑down: “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” (Matt. 5:44).

So here’s what I’m asking:
1. Pray for Healing: Ask the Great Physician to halt the spread of the cancer, guide every doctor’s hand, and restore Joe’s health.
2. Pray for Peace: Cancer is a heavy weight. Let’s pray the peace that passes all understanding settles on Joe, Jill, and their entire family.
3. Pray for Eternal Perspective: Hard times have a way of softening hearts. Pray that this trial draws Joe closer to the One who offers true hope.

And maybe most of all for our nation..

It’s starving for civility. One of the simplest ways to shine light in the darkness is to bow our heads for someone who might never vote the way we do. Let’s lead by example.
