Kash Patel just got confirmed as the new Director of the Federal Bureau of Instigation (oops, I mean Investigation), and let’s just say the deep state is NOT happy about it.

The Senate vote? 51-49. A nail-biter. Two weak-kneed Republicans—Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski—predictably jumped ship, but even old Mitch McConnell threw his weight behind Patel. And why wouldn’t he? Patel’s not some establishment seat-warmer—he’s a former counterterrorism prosecutor and Trump’s go-to guy for exposing D.C. corruption.
