JUST IN: SCOTUS HANDS TRUMP BIG CHRISTMAS PRESENT

The Supreme Court declined special counsel Jack Smith’s request Friday for it to quickly consider a key question in former President Donald Trump’s election interference case without letting the lower court weigh in first.

Smith asked the justices last week to hear former President Donald Trump’s bid to have his election interference case dismissed based on presidential immunity without allowing the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals to first consider the issue. In an unsigned order Friday, the justices shot down his request.

Trump’s Department of War - DOD to get name change (Secret Show Prep 9-5-25)

President Trump is set to sign an executive order today renaming the Department of Defense as the ‘Department of War’—at least as a secondary title. He argues the move revives a ‘warrior ethos’ and recalls U.S. victories when it was known by that name from 1789 to 1947. As part of the rebrand, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will be referred to as the ‘Secretary of War’ and tasked with recommending steps to make the change permanent via Congress.
