Trump administration to withhold SNAP benefits from Michigan, other states next week

The plan was announced during the president's cabinet meeting after Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said the department would be withholding benefits to states because of requests for names and immigration status of aid recipients being denied.

Over 800,000 people have officially been removed from SNAP, confirmed by Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins

Under Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer the cost of heating your home in Michigan could really go up.

The state Public Service Commission is weighing a request from DTE Energy to raise natural-gas rates by close to 10 percent.

That move would add about $237 million a year to the bill for Michigan consumers.
